Filippo Beretta is a serial entrepreneur, angel investor, and independent professional. In 2008, he co-founded Motu Novu, the leading international federation of independent professionals. Prior to Motu Novu, he had been directly involved in the startup of five ventures. He is also the entrepreneur in residence and manager of the Boston Office of DPixel, one of Europe’s leading seed-stage venture capital advisory firms.

As a professional, Mr. Beretta has performed assignments in Italy, the UK, and the USA. His consulting clients include major international corporations, government bodies, and many startups and SMEs. Throughout his career, Mr. Beretta has been responsible for several multi-million dollar deals, and has been invited to speak on entrepreneurship by MIT, UCLA Anderson, Bocconi University, Politecnico di Milano, and several others. His ventures and portfolio investments have been featured extensively by the press, on media such as Time magazine, ABC News, IlSole24Ore, and Milano Finanza. In 2007 he was named in the “Top 40 Entrepreneurs Under 40” list of entrepreneurs compiled by Corriere Della Sera, Italy's top newspaper.

Mr. Beretta holds a BS in Strategic Management from Bocconi University (summa cum laude and with academic honors) and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. He has been a teaching and research assistant in operations management at MIT. Some of his research work has been published in leading European peer-review journals. He lives in cambridge, Massachusetts and Milano, Italy.
