Kirk A. Marangi

Kirk A. Marangi has over twenty years of experience in finance, manufacturing and operations for corporations with sales spanning from $20 million to over $8 billion.  Throughout his career, he has brought an understanding of process, efficiency, and operational analysis to finance, quality assurance, and operations. He has industry experience in computer peripherals, pharmaceuticals, fresh and packaged foods, waste management, packaging, irrigation, personal computers, and financial services.

As Director of Process Quality and Improvement for FDI Collateral Management, Mr. Marangi reduced unit cost by over 20% through a combination of streamlining, automation, and outsourcing.  As Director of Process Quality and Productivity for Packard Bell-NEC, Mr. Marangi benchmarked the superior productivity of the company’s European operation, incentivizing the U.S. operation to reach those same productivity levels.  As a Director and Manager of Finance at Packard-Bell-NEC, he analyzed phone center data, and reduced busy signals dramatically, without any increase in labor cost.  As an Operations Analyst for Dole Packaged Foods, Mr. Marangi modeled the relative cost-benefits of shipping juice to the U.S. market in frozen vs. shelf-stable format. 

Mr. Marangi has designed, built, and operated a plastic recycling plant having a capacity of 1 million pounds per year. He assessed the cost-benefits in the dimensions of labor, packaging, raw materials, distribution, tariffs, overhead, and equipment of a New York pharmaceutical company forming a joint venture with their Italian distributor to manufacture in Milan.

Currently, Mr. Marangi is the principal economist and owner of Kirk Marangi Economic Valuations, a firm offering forensic economic and a business valuation services.  Mr. Marangi has testified in California Superior Court in both wage and hours and business litigation cases.

He holds an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA and MA in International Studies from the Wharton School and the University of Pennsylvania.  Mr. Marangi was a fellow of the Lauder Institute of Management and International Studies while at Wharton and Penn. Mr. Marangi is fluent in English, proficient in Italian and French, and has basic knowledge of Spanish.
