Michael Hair is an Industrial Engineer with extensive experience in production and operations management in a wide variety of industries. Mr. Hair has applied discrete event simulation, constraints management, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques to such diverse industries as semiconductor fabrication, solar cell fabrication, truck assembly, food production, and consumer products production and distribution.

Mr. Hair spent many years as a consultant with CH2M Hill, with projects that span greenfield & brownfield facilities design as well as process improvement and operations strategy. Client companies have included Daimler, Procter & Gamble, Shell Oil Company, Hill AFB, Harry & David, Hewlett-Packard, BP Solar, Dendreon, and Nortel Networks.

Mr. Hair was a founder and co-owner of a contract manufacturing firm, producing an air tool for automotive repair that was sold to distributors worldwide.

Mr. Hair holds a BS in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research and a MS in Operations Research, both from the University of California at Berkeley. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and has taught Management Science at California State University. An avid distance runner, Mr. Hair has participated in the Hood to Coast Relay and the Humboldt Redwoods Marathon. He resides in Portland, Oregon.
