Thomas Neal is a serial entrepreneur with extensive experience in operations management and supply chain. He is one of the original founders of IdentiCert and has been involved in the launch of Urbissimo. In both companies, he served as the Vice President for Technology and Operations, responsible for the development, engineering, sourcing, production, and deployment of the hardware platform, as well as qualifying all service providers and managing all internal operations. As a professional, Mr. Neal has completed assignments for major corporations and startups such as iRobot, Pratt & Whitney, The Abitare Project and others.

Mr. Neal was an officer in the US Navy, serving abroad the USS Georgia, a nuclear powered ballistic missile submarine. On the Georgia, he led various organizations from the division responsible for reactor chemistry to the division responsible for the submarine’s weapons systems. He also served as an officer responsible for the operation and maintenance of a nuclear reactor prototype at the Knowles Atomic Power Laboratories. Prior to leaving the facility, Mr. Neal was put in charge of training for the entire reactor plant, overseeing more than 350 students and 200 instructors.

Mr. Neal graduated with honors from the US Naval Academy with a BS in Systems Engineering. He holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and an MS in Electrical Engineering from MIT.

He co-founded Motu Novu in 2008.
